Survival plan in massive event tell me if this is good?

Have a get home bag in the car. To get home from trips/work to your house.

At the house you have 6-12 months of food storage, and better guns, plus your bug out bag(s) and more fuel for all terrain vehicle

When your home is compromised or the "event" last longer than 6-12 months then you bug out with bag guns and atv on a pre planned path to a remote backup underground shelter with 2-3 years of food and water filtration system with seeds and farming equipment and storage equipment

Also along the path you have hidden cache points for resupply

Thats my plan does that sound good or non realistic?

I assume you are talking about amajor melt down of our system. This may or may not happen.Never say never.

Your 'get home bag' should be kept up to date. You really don't want to pack along the kitchen sink if you are only two miles from your house.Different bags for different trips.

6 to 12 month food storage in your house:Good but 2 years worth is better. The problem with food storage is that you never quite look as hungry as the next guy.People may start to suspect if you don't act the part well.Keeping all that food hidden isn't as easy as it might sound either. If someone comes to the door to beg and you open it to speak to them are they going to see twenty cans of powdered eggs on your shelf? There are also laws passed that few know of that will allow the government to seize any and all properties including your food stores in an emergency.Better find a really good place to hide it.People who suspect may not even try to break in and get it themselves. They may think there will be a reward for turning you in.

The next part of your plan is going to be expensive to say the least.Unless you build it yourself someone somewhere is going to know about your underground shelter. It may even be compromised before you ever get to it.A moving ATV is going to draw attention since it's likely there would be very severe gas rationing. When every you have a hole in the ground you have a drainage problem. As I said, it could get expensive to keep such a place.

Common storage units can be fine for keeping your cache hidden.Unless it's climate controlled don't try to store many foods there. At the very least don't keep any can goods there.Temperature extremes can greatly lower the shelf life and freezing weather can cause can goods to burst.

If you are rich your plan may work okay.If not I'd dump that part about the underground bunker.Better to spend you money putting in a false floor in your house to hide even more food.Of course all good plans sometimes fail.

Always remember that surviving is sometimes about keeping your mouth shut.
